Toddler Childcare

Our program is flexible and open-ended. Toddlers need to be challenged without being frustrated or overwhelmed.

  • Please MARK all your toddlers things. A complete change of clothing needs to be in the center at all times. Please re-stock as needed. Parents provide diapers and wipes.
  • Toddlers have difficulty when being rushed or hurried.
  • Transitions are difficult for toddlers. They appreciate consistency to the point of simple rituals.
  • Toddlers are NOT tidy! We recommend play clothes. Please provide appropriate clothing for outside play.
  • An information sheet is available for parents’ review. This sheet stats activities and particulars about each child’s day.
  • Diapers are changed as needed throughout the day.
  • We are glad to work with you to help potty-train your son or daughter. We ask you to work with your child at home first for two weeks. Be sure to speak with the toddler teacher when you begin planning for potty training.

Our activities are varied and teachers understand that they need to change their plans according to the moods and needs of the children.

Hello, my name is Miranda. I am the leader teacher in the younger toddler room. I am excited to be part of Lakewood Community Care Center team.

I came from Albania in 2002 with my husband and our two sons. I have lived in Lakewood for 12 years. I graduated from Cuyahoga Community College with an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I feel passionate about the importance of educating young children. I truly believe that children become life-long learners in their early years, and I am glad to be a part of those years.

I have been working at LCCC for 9 years with toddlers. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. We enjoy being outside, traveling and fishing. I look forward to working with you and your little “stars.”
